We started of this term by visiting Mataia Farm out in the Kaipara to plant our plants for the 'Trees for Survival' programme. We had a great day we were lucky enough to only have a little bit of rain. We planted over 750 Harakeke (flax) and Manuka trees. The children worked hard to dug holes and had a great time working in the mud. After all of their hard work they were treated to a feast of food. What a great day we had!
